Ministries
This ministry will encourage senior citizens with a heart for the Lord, but who find it difficult to attend regular church functions. A monthly senior outing and organized hospital and nursing home visits help keep our senior members of the church in touch with the church body.
"Come unto me", the Wednesday night program for elementary students, is designed to help the children memorize scripture while experiencing fun and fellowship throughout the school year. Of particular interest is our annual Fall Missions Fest and Spring Teddy Bear Picnic. In the summer, our largest children's ministry is through our 4-week vacation Bible school run by Angola Friends staff and volunteers.
"Deep Impact" is the name of the youth group for Junior high and High school students. Shane Metz, known as "Pastor Shane", has been Youth Pastor of Angola Friends for 2 years. Pastor Shane leads Deep Impact on Sunday mornings in a Bible study and Wednesday nights in a group discussion on scripture and current issues. Deep Impact plans regular activities and trips including the annual missions trip to the Dominican Republic.
Sunday mornings are enriched with the talent of the Drama Ministry team through biblical sketches and life application illustrations. The Drama Ministry Team's "Christmas Extravaganza" held at the Angola Friends Church has become a well-known tradition to the community.
Women's Club meets every Saturday morning for a light breakfast and meaningful discussion about being a Christian Woman in the workforce, home, and society.
